"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." - Albert Einstein

In 2013 I  transitioned into a Director's role for a non-profit club volleyball organization, Houston Skyline Juniors. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach at College Station High School.

I am happy to return to my hometown of College Station, Texas. I attended Texas A&M University for my undergraduate degree, after which I taught in Katy ISD from 2008-2013. In 2016 I earned my masters degree from Texas A&M University.

*Bachelors of Science - Kinesiology, Texas A&M University  *Masters of Science - Sports Management, Texas A&M University *Certified to teach English, Language Arts, and Reading, Art, and Physical Education.

I am a fourth generation educator. I have a variety of interests, and I am drawn to subjects that allow students to express their creativity and reflect on the subject matter. As an educator, I want to create a learning environment that is fun, challenging, and conducive for long-term success. My primary goal is to provide opportunities for students to experience and establish learning strategies, which they can implement into their daily lives. I want to teach students to critically reflect on ideas, material, assumptions, and traditions in order to better understand the content. Fostering their ability to understand, create, and analyze is essential for their long-term success. I not only want to teach students to master the subject matter, but also guide them through their high school careers by helping them discover their passions, develop a strong sense of community, and pursue higher education.
